Finishing Touches on Your Hardship Letter

As I have said before the financial hardship letter is the most important tool, in the box but it’s not the only one. You must assemble a tool chest to present to the loss mitigator that includes all aspects of your financial difficulty.

Of course the kit begins with your hardship letter. Read it over and make sure that you haven’t made any errors in punctuation or spelling. Check for that positive attitude I spoke about in the previous email.

Next, you should include a workout plan. This will detail the facts and figures of the plan in your hardship letter.

To back up the numbers in your hardship letter you’ll need documents: bank statements, paycheck stubs, etc. These will outline your expenses and any income you still have coming into the home.

Your lender may require specific documents. These may include a letter from your employer, doctor or other person of interest to the lender.

Finally, there are many documents to do with your home; real estate appraisals, municipality documents and site plans. These may have to be sent in as well.

What I’ve been trying to convey to you in this mini-course is that your situation can be improved by just following some tried-and true principles. By reading the entire eBook, Hardship Survival Kit: Easy Hardship Letters to Ward off Foreclosure, you will have the insider knowledge of how the loan modification process works.
